Dr. Faye Weems-Singleton (Dr. Faye):
Dr. Faye is an Adjunct Professor of Pastoral Care and Counseling and a Doctor of Ministry Cohort Leader in Pastoral Professionalism and Spiritual Care at the Interdenominational Theological Center (ITC) in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Faye is also a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT). Her therapy/counseling practice is located at the Research Institute for Counseling and Education (RICE) in Norcross/Peachtree Corners, Georgia. As a licensed therapist and pastoral counselor, Dr. Faye works with individuals, couples, families and groups. Her doctoral research addressed the relational dynamics of the African American man and his mother and subsequent female relationships. As a result, Dr. Faye continues to work with a significant number of African American men who have come to trust her to provide a safe, non-judgmental space to explore their relationships and other issues. As a result of her work with African American men, Dr. Faye is able to assist African American women and families as they journey toward more holistic relationships. Specific issues addressed in her therapy/counseling practice include depression, anxiety, self-esteem, anger, communication, parenting, trans-generational issues, race, gender, sex, abuse and infidelity. Dr. Faye works from an Africentric perspective of the sacred. She believes that balance is central to the emotional, spiritual and physical health of all persons. Rev. Dr. Faye Weems-Singleton is licensed and ordained as an elder by the Full Gospel Baptist Fellowship, Bishop Paul S. Morton, Sr., Founder and Bishop Joseph Walker, III, Presiding Bishop.
